Concept Drawing Series, 2023
Natural Humonsters is a series of creature designs inspired by nature, architecture, and humanity’s impact on the environment. These hybrid beings combine natural elements—such as stone, mud, wood, and tree branches—with human-made structures, symbolizing the ways in which human intervention has disrupted ecological balance.
Influenced by my background in architecture, the series imagines a future in which nature reflects humanity’s own aggression, carelessness, and environmental neglect back to us. The creatures function as metaphors for ecological crises that emerge from the complex relationship between human activity and the natural world.
Through these works, I explore tensions between the natural and the artificial, peace and violence, structure and chaos. Whether encountered in motion or stillness, the Natural Humonsters invite viewers to confront uncomfortable environmental realities through imagination, reflection, and wonder.
